Simon is the third generation of Scannell’s who have practiced law in Hastings since 1897.

Simon practised law in Christchurch before returning home to Hastings in 1980. He became a partner in Scannell Hardy & Co and in 1986 he left that firm to run his own practice, S J Scannell & Co.

That practice has merged with Sainsbury Logan & Williams as at April 2023 and Simon joined the firm as a Consultant and remains in practice in the Hastings office.

Simon provides his clients with general legal services focusing on property law, commercial law , financing, trusts, estates and succession planning.
