Jonathan is an experienced commercial lawyer who can assist with advice on all aspects of your business including buying and selling businesses, bank and other financing transactions, contractual negotiation, shareholder arrangements and commercial advice.

He has a particular interest in financing, securities and capital raising transactions having spent time in a senior role in the banking and financing team of a national law firm, and acts for several non – bank lenders to the property industry.

Jonathan previously practiced in both private practice at a global law firm in London and as in-house counsel at a European investment bank.

Jonathan was admitted as a Partner of Sainsbury Logan & Williams on 1 April 2019, is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and is a member of our firm’s management committee.

  • Acting for Dose & Co. a subsidiary of Zuru Limited on the disposal of its collagen business
  • Acting for the purchaser of Ngaruru Station, a large scale wagyu, sheep and beef and cropping unit in Central Hawkes Bay
  • Acting for the owners of The Retreat, an eight unit timeshare in Taupo on its disestablishment and sale
